Scholarly Writing. I spearheaded a revise and resubmit for a journal article for which I am lead author. I also directed the adaptation of a journal article into a book chapter, again taking lead authorship. I contributed significantly to various iterations of three research reports from the USC Annenberg Innovation Lab that documents the PLAY! research group’s efforts over the past two years. I contributed to an article written by a colleague and attained third authorship.

Conferences. I joined scholars and, notably, practitioners from fields whose work complements my own, e.g., cinema, engineering, public health, entertainment, library science, elementary/second/after-school education: Annenberg Fellows Symposium (April 11), Liberating Structures Working Group (April 13-15), Digital Kids (April 26-27), American Library Association (June 23), Literacy Design Collaborative (July 9-10), USC Shoah Foundation Best Practices Workshop (August 1-3), USC Joint Educational Project Training/Retreat (August 20-22).
Instructional Design. I also partnered with the USC Shoah Foundation, designing media-rich activities for learners to engage with complex ideas and extend their learning via multimedia production within the context of IWitness, an online application that allows users to watch and remix over 1200 video testimonies from survivors and witnesses of genocide. My activity looks at civil rights in the Jim Crow South and 1936 Germany.
